DANCEFEST is an annual performance opportunity for local dance students, the concert also serves as a fundraiser for the Sacramento-area dance community. DANCEFEST 2018's theme is inspired by the world of Tim Burton, "The Nightmare Before DANCEFEST." Each participating dance company will create and perform a dance work that is inspired by a Tim Burton Film. Films include: Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeny Todd, Alice in Wonderland, and the Nightmare before Christmas.
Sponsored by the Franklin High School Booster Club, DANCEFEST 2018 will take place October 20th at 7:00pm in the Performing Arts Center at Sheldon High School. General Admission, Doors Open to the Public for Seating at 6:30pm, No Late Seating! Outside Food/Drinks will not be allowed in the Performing Arts Center. The show will contain the use of theatrical lighting and loud music; this includes: spotlights, strobe lights, fog machines, and alarming sound effects such as gun shots/explosions. DANCEFEST is a fundraising event; no ticket refunds or exchanges.
